It is time to get the word out.

On Monday, August 15th a press conference was held for the Efficiency Nova Scotia Demonstration Homes for the local media.

The event was held at the Dartmouth Home and representatives from a number of local media outlets were on hand to provide coverage. Global television, the Chronicle Herald and allnovascotia.com gathered information, conducted interviews and captured images wrote about the project.

“We are going to get the message about these homes out to Nova Scotians,” said Paul Pettipas, CEO of the Nova Scotia Home Builders Association, “a full media campaign is just one of our the many tactics that we want to use.”

A group of fourth year public relations students helped coordinate the event for their media relations class and their efforts proved to be beneficial to the campaign.

“We have to give credit to the Mount students. They continue to impress me every single time we work with them,” says Paul.

Although the homes have been under construction for close to three months this was the first time that the media and the public were invited to the homes. After the opening remarks members of the gallery were invited to take a tour of the home which was guided by WhiteStone Builders’ very own Andrew Watson.
